The YMCA Greater Toronto is planning to open the McDonald Family Richmond Street YMCA — a 54,000 square-foot YMCA Centre of Community located at 505 Richmond St. W., near King St. W. and Spadina Avenue. The McDonald Family YMCA will bring much-needed programs, services, and health facility to the area, serving a revitalized Alexandra Park neighbourhood and its surrounding communities. The new Y’s current floor plan incorporates a full gymnasium, a swimming pool, large conditioning and weight room, studio space, a community room, and three change rooms.
