The Work involved with this project includes selective demolition and interior alterations to accommodate updates to the buildings finishes, mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with the City Accessibility and Energy Standards including the Corporate Green Building Standards (where applicable), and CPTED principles as follows:

  • Building envelope and signage improvements to direct community users to the Theatre providing enhanced street presence
  • Improved exterior car drop off and shared forecourt at north entrance
  • Enhancements to the exterior patio along Battleford Road
  • Improvements and reconfiguration of the existing box office area to address lineups and congestion during performances
  • Improvements and interior refresh of the administrative area, meeting room, rehearsal hall and secondary entrance to ensure these areas can function independently if required for rentals
  • Removal of the existing concession area and installation of a new concession counter
  • Removal of the obstructive curving stair within the lobby and installation of a new discrete control booth stair
  • Interior refresh of the lobby space, improved coat area and storage area for flexible lobby furniture
